Harry Potter fans still haven’t relaxed about J.K. Rowling’s Wizarding World in the years past her book series’ finale, and neither have any of the spin-off properties. We’re still getting new Fantastic Beasts movies and we’re still getting bigger and better toys. One of the latter is the upcoming LEGO version of Hogwarts Castle that, clocking in at a whopping 6,020 pieces, is the biggest Harry Potter set they've ever released.
In fact, that number places the castle as the second-biggest LEGO set in general — right behind the LEGO Millennium Falcon and in front of the Taj Mahal.
It’s got everything you might expect from the castle itself (including the Chamber of Secrets, the Goblet of Fire, the Great Hall, Professor Umbridge’s office, the Defense Against the Dark Arts classroom, Hagrid’s Hut, the Whomping Willow, Professor Dumbledore’s office, and well... you get the idea) along with all the inhabitants to keep its magic lively. Almost 30 of them.
Not only do you get the Harry Potter staples like Hermione, Ron, and Voldemort, builders also get to assemble the legendary house founders: Godric Gryffindor, Helga Hufflepuff, Salazar Slytherin, and Rowena Ravenclaw.
Add in the monsters, spiders, traps, statues, and boats and this is the whole series wrapped up in one gigantic set. The best part is, by the time you finish assembling its massive architecture, you’ll have a new movie to go see. (Fantastic Beasts: The Crimes of Grindenwalk opens Nov. 16.)
Meanwhile, the LEGO Harry Potter Hogwarts Castle set hits stores on Sept. 1.
