Saturday Night Live star Leslie Jones does not hold back her enthusiasm. When she loves something, she lets it out, and she lets it out in a big way. Her joy is infectious, and she recently let it out in a series of tweets while finally watching Avengers: Infinity War for the first time.
One of the most memorable (and hilarious) tweets from Jones concerns Captain America. Let's just say that Jones has a wee little bit of a crush on him, and she let her feelings be known. We can't blame her, just look at the guy.
Her original tweeted video of Cap's entrance in the film is below. In it, she refers to Steve Rogers as "her motherf**king husband" before adding that he is "fine as f**k." Take a look at the tweet here, just be aware that she drops the F-bomb a couple times:
Wouldn't you know it, Captain America actor Chris Evans opened the gates and seized the day, responding to Jones, and even bringing fellow Avengers actor Paul Bettany (Vision) into the mix. Evans tweeted, "What's truly shocking is that this is EXACTLY what [Paul Bettany] says to me every time I enter a room. Verbatim."
Jones made sure to let Evans know that she was paying attention, tweeting back the words, "LMAO!! I'll be your huckleberry baby! Lol lol." We don't know what being someone's "huckleberry" entails (or what a huckleberry even is, to be honest) but we're assuming it is positive and involves affection.
The saga doesn't end there. Bettany decided to get in on the action too, apparently agreeing with Evans' "fine as f**k" greeting report. Bettany tweeted, "You can see it in my eyes in this shot- I'm only human... well... Kinda." He adds a photo of Vision giving someone some sexy eyes, implying that Evans/Cap is the one he is looking at.
Ships have sailed over far, far less. Eventually Jones got around to finishing the movie, and tweeted a query about who Nick Fury (Samuel L. Jackson) was texting before he blew away Voldemort-style. Jones received a response from none other than Brie Larson, the actress behind Carol Danvers, aka Captain Marvel... the character who was receiving the text.
The ever-delightful Larson simply responded with, "New # who dis?"
Are Leslie Jones' adventures with the Avengers crew over? We certainly hope not. Though Avengers: Infinity War is already in our homes thanks to digital services, we'd gladly pay for it again if it came with a full commentary track from Jones. We'd like that for every movie, really — going by the response to Jones' tweets, we are not alone.
