A short time ago in a galaxy really, really, really close to ours, Campbell's soup began infiltrating New York Comic Con with a Star Wars: The Last Jedi mural-like “canstallation” in midtown Manhattan. And it's certainly an eye-catcher.
The big push? A new line of Campbell's Star Wars-themed labels featuring new and returning characters from the film. Because, of course, nothing says fandom more than getting your Star Wars fix with your food fix.
The display itself features members of Snoke's elite Praetorian Guard constructed out of cans of the condensed soup. The walls and floor of the display are also made of the broth-filled tins. It's the third year running that Disney and Lucasfilm have collaborated on the line.
Campbell's is also planning a TV campaign for the new Star Wars cans, so keep an eye out for those. You can already find the labels for Rey, Finn, BB-8, Captain Phasma, and the Praetorian Guard on cans of Campbell's Chicken Soup.
We know what's for lunch this week at the SYFY WIRE offices!
