It’s hard to believe, but it’s been a full 30 years since Joe Dante’s 1980s classic Gremlins opened. Since we can’t watch The Interview for Christmas, why not revisit this gem with a brand-new audio commentary?

Original star Zach Galligan, aka Billy Peltzer, was a guest on Joe Lynch (Wrong Turn 2) and Adam Green’s (Hatchet) podcast The Movie Crypt. This installment, the series’ 83rd episode, is essentially framed as a feature-length audio commentary with special guest Galligan chiming in with all his fun Gremlins memories.

It’s loaded with anecdotes and stories from the set, and also gives Galligan a chance to talk about his career and how the film affected it. Considering he’s joined by indie horror gurus Lynch and Green, it makes for one heck of a fun track. Much more entertaining, and off the cuff, than anything you’ll find on the official release.

So dig out your old copy of Gremlins on DVD (or VHS, if you're feeling old-school), cue up the audio below and enjoy this insightful walk down memory lane:
