Hugh Jackman's swan song as Wolverine opens wide this weekend on a massive wave of critical acclaim. However, director James Mangold might not quite be done with Logan ...

When asked by a fan if we might ever see a black-and-white cut of the arty X-Men film, Mangold said he's working on it. Which is awesome. The cinematography and style of Logan could certainly benefit from a more muted presentation (much of the early photography released from the film was also black-and-white), and it'll be interesting to see what stands out in that format. Here's hoping Mangold is able to work it out to have that cut included in the film's home release.

If it happens, Logan will be the second sci-fi blockbuster to get a black-and-white cut, after the stellar Black and Chrome edition of Mad Max: Fury Road. And that turned out pretty great.

What do you think? Would you like to see a stripped-down version of Logan down the line?
