Lois Lane is already fitting right into the Arrowverse.

It's become a nice midseason tradition for fans of The CW's various DC Comic-based shows to celebrate their interconnectedness with a big crossover team-up, and 2018 is already shaping up to be perhaps the most ambitious yet. Titled "Elseworlds" and arriving this December, the three-night event will introduce new threats, new locales, and new allies, including ace Daily Planet reporter Lois Lane.

Last month, we learned that Elizabeth Tulloch (Grimm) had signed on to play Lois in the event, and today Tulloch, Supergirl star Melissa Benoist, and Superman himself, Tyler Hoechlin, all introduced this new version of Ms. Lane to the world with an adorable team-up photo posted to social media.

Yes, seeing the trio gathered together like this is quite pleasant by itself, but look where they're standing. Does the rural setting signal a possible trip to Smallville? We'll see.

In addition to the arrival of Lois on the scene, we can expect much more from "Elseworlds," including the debut of Crisis on Infinite Earths mainstay The Monitor, Superman rocking his legendary black suit, Flash and Green Arrow switching roles, and of course, the debut of Ruby Rose as Kate Kane, aka Batwoman.

"Elseworlds" arrives Dec. 9 and airs nightly through Dec. 11, covering episodes of Arrow, The Flash, and Supergirl.
