Move over, Freddy and Jason, there’s another 1980s horror icon that’s on its way to being rebooted for the big screen.

So, who’s the next monster of horror to get the reboot treatment?

It’s none other than one of our favorite monsters from the '80s ever, Pumpkinhead!

Apparently Brad Krevoy, the guy who produced Pumpkinhead II: Blood Wings, Pumpkinhead: Ashes to Ashes and Pumpkinhead: Blood Feud, is planning to resurrect the monster created by special-effects artist Stan Winston for the screen back in 1988 in his first gig as director. It also spawned a short-lived series of comics at Dark Horse.

If you guys will recall, Pumpkinhead is a demon of vengeance who was summoned by Lance Henriksen (Terminator, Aliens) in the very first flick in order to avenge the death of his son at the hands of teenagers. But those who call upon the horrifying demon have a price to pay.

Will the project get going? Will Pumpkinhead return to wreak bloody, horrifying vengeance on unsuspecting murderous teens and villains? Do you want to see that particular franchise get the reboot treatment?
