There are still plenty of movies to get excited about in the final months of 2017, but one seems destined to rise above the rest: Star Wars: The Last Jedi, director Rian Johnson's follow-up to The Force Awakens. The film is still largely shrouded in secrecy, but Monday we may get some new clues, because a new trailer is officially dropping.
In addition to the social media announcement, Lucasfilm confirmed the trailer launch in a press release Sunday. The trailer will arrive during halftime of ESPN's Monday Night Football broadcast. The game is set to kick off at 8:15 ET. Halftime happens ... well, whenever halftime happens, but if you're concerned about the timing or you're not sure if you have access to ESPN, don't worry. The trailer will likely hit the web shortly thereafter.
Lucasfilm also confirmed that, following the trailer launch, tickets for The Last Jedi will go on sale, more than two months before the film is set to debut. They'll be available "everywhere movie tickets are sold," so head to the website of your favorite local theater (or your favorite ticket distributor) and get your clickin' finger ready. They'll no doubt be going fast.
Star Wars: The Last Jedi is in theaters Dec. 15. Stay tuned to SYFY WIRE for coverage of Monday's trailer launch.
