Netflix's The Defenders doesn't debut until August 18, when the streaming empire airs an eight-episode series gathering Daredevil (Charlie Cox), Luke Cage (Mike Colter), Jessica Jones (Krysten Ritter) and Danny Rand (Finn Jones) into a dynamic crimefighting force.

To keep the marketing fires burning, Marvel is releasing a new The Defenders comic series starting June 13, written by the Eisner Award-winning Brian Michael Bendis (Ultimate Spider-Man, Daredevil) with art and cover by David Marquez (Invincible Iron-Man, All-New X-Men).

Here's the solicitation synopsis:

Brian Michael Bendis and David Marquez unite to bring you the next great super-team, in the tradition of NEW AVENGERS!
