Maggie Q is set to star in an upcoming supernatural thriller titled Slumber, and Vertical Entertainment has released a creepy new trailer as well an official release date for the movie.

Directed by Jonathan Hopkins (Minimus) from a screenplay written by Hopkins and Richard Hobley, the movie also stars AVP: Alien vs. Predator’s Sam Troughton (who also happens to be the grandson of Doctor Who’s Second Doctor, Patrick Troughton), Kristen Bush (The Following), Seventh Doctor Sylvester McCoy, William Hope (Aliens), and Will Kemp (Reign).

Maggie Q (Nikita, Designated Survivor) plays the role of Alice, a sleep doctor haunted by the mysterious death of her younger brother (which happened in his sleep), who must abandon all her rational scientific reasoning when she comes across a family terrorized by a demon that feeds on its victims by paralyzing them while they sleep. To defeat the malicious entity, Alice will have to dive into her own nightmares to confront the demons of her childhood.

Slumber will open in the U.S. on Dec. 1 courtesy of Vertical Entertainment. The Tea Shop & Film Company’s Mark Lane and James Harris as well as Pascal Degove for Goldcrest Films are producing. Face the original nightmare and dig into the trailer below:
