A gorgeous natural feature that should be very familiar to Game of Thrones fans has sadly collapsed into the sea.

Malta's Azure Window, which featured prominently in Season 1 of Game of Thrones during the wedding of Daenerys Targaryen (Emilia Clarke) and Khal Drogo (Jason Momoa), has now collapsed into the sea. The natural limestone arch also appeared in Clash of the Titans (1981).

The natural feature has been a tourist destination for years, located on Gozo Island. Malta’s Prime Minister Joseph Muscat said that reports on the site's sustainability had indicated it was being ravaged by natural corrosion. It eventually got to the point that a $1,500 fine was put in place for anyone who walks across it. Sadly, that natural damage, combined with a powerful storm that hit the area, ended with it crashing into the sea.
