The Mandarin is still totally badass in deleted Iron Man 3 scene

That creepy Mandarin voice is back to haunt you.

Though some fans were not happy with the twists that Iron Man 3 put on the classic Iron Man villain, Ben Kingsley still had plenty of time to be terrifyingly convincing as the deep-voiced, robed international superterrorist bent on the takedown of America and, eventually, Tony Stark. Now the Mandarin is back in this deleted scene from the Iron Man 3 Blu-ray release.

The scene takes place just after Happy (Jon Favreau) nearly meets his end when a couple of Extremis-riddled bad guys blow up the front of a Chinese theater in Los Angeles. Cut to Mandarin, who begins to piece together how the incident fits into his own anti-American persona. It's a brief but fun look back at the character before the big twist in the film, and we can only hope there'll be more stuff like this on the Blu-ray.

Check out the deleted scene below. The Iron Man 3 Blu-ray -- which will also include featurettes, a gag reel, commentary by director Shane Black, an inside look at the forthcoming Thor: The Dark World and the Marvel One-Shot short film "Agent Carter," starring Hayley Atwell -- arrives Sept. 3.
