With a new TV series on the way, Marvel Comics is dropping some not-so-subtle hints that the Runaways could be getting the old band back together.

The comic publisher has sent out two teaser previews under the headline “Get Ready To Run!” featuring two of the main players within the Runaways — Nico Minoru and Chase Stein — along with some mini-character bios. Aside from the fact that Marvel is apparently bringing the series back to life, that’s pretty much all we know. There’s been no word on the creative team, who will write it, who will do the art (these sketches were done by Star-Lord artist Kris Anka, for what it’s worth) or how long it will run. But the Runaways are almost certainly coming back.

The original Runaways ran from 2003-2004 and was written by Brian K. Vaughan. It was also fantastic. Joss Whedon stepped in after Vaughan left, followed by Terry Moore, then Kathryn Immonen and Sarah Pichelli. The series has been pretty much shelved since 2009, though a mini-run was released with a mostly new line-up as part of the Secret Wars event in 2015.

With the TV adaptation hitting Hulu later this year, and original team member/villain Alex Wilder back on the radar in the wake of Power Man and Iron Fist, it stands to reason Marvel could be cooking up a nice Runaways throwback for later this year. Plus, thanks to Secret Wars, the timey-wimey state of reality could help bring some folks back.

Who would you like to see take over creatively? What direction should the series take? Check out the character teases below and let us know what you think:
