If you’re a Kiwi who happens to be a Marvel fan, start looking for friends in low, small, hard-to-find places. That’s because the comics giant has been hiding tickets for the new Ant-Man and the Wasp all over New Zealand as part of its Tiny Door Competition.
According to the rules, these doors can be found in Auckland, Wellington, Christchurch, Dunedin, and Hamilton — and contain tickets as well as instructions to post a pic of the door to social media (either Instagram or Facebook) with the tags #TinyDoorsNZComp and @MarvelAUNZ for a chance at an even bigger prize: a private screening of Ant-Man and the Wasp with the winner and 20 friends. That’s led to luck for some... and frustration for others.
People like Reddit user /u/EveryDayIsCharlieDay and Instagram user jesserockz were winners, while Instagram user pyro29k faced setbacks before claiming victory:
As if the land most foreigners know best from the Lord of the Rings films needed more reason to look for Hobbit holes. This promotional campaign is just as quirky as the country’s spectacular exports into geek culture — especially Thor: Ragnarok director Taika Waititi.
