Marvel names 3 surprising superheroes it wants to make movies about

We already heard about Doctor Strange, Black Panther and The Runaways, but what three other characters that are in development?

Marvel has a lot of characters they can potentially bring to the big screen, so it's not surprising that a lot of those heroes are being considered. What is surprising, though, are the specific choices. According to the Hollywood Reporter:

Marvel has a writing program it uses as a concept generator and has scripts for Blade and Ms. Marvel features, for example. Doctor Strange, Iron Fist, Black Panther and The Runaways are other projects on the horizon.

Let's dissect this a moment, shall we? What are the chances of all these movies getting made?

Doctor Strange and Black Panther are basically locked in, since Stan Lee has been talking about Strange a lot and Black Panther casting rumors have already started. Runaways? Well, we knew there was a script out there, and they'd certainly make for a great, self-contained film.

Blade has already had a successful franchise, so that seems possible, although we're not sure audiences want any more vampires right now. Iron Fist? Not without Luke Cage, we hope.

And then there's Ms. Marvel. We'd love to see Carol Danvers have her day in the sun. Will she? Well, first we'd take this more seriously if she were called Captain Marvel. Second, there's the issue of Hollywood considering female superhero movies to be dead on arrival. Let's be clear, we want Captain Marvel to be a movie, we're just not holding our breath for it.

But what do you think? Which of these characters deserve movies, and which ones are actually going to land them?
