It's still a prototype right now, but Marvel and Hasbro have teamed up to turn Star-Lord's helmet into a pair of Bluetooth headphones. Like, you can literally wear Star-Lord's helmet and rock out to Awesome Mix Vol. 1. No Walkman required. We're not kidding.

The mock-up of the helmet looks extremely cool (duh), and the companies hope to get it on the shelves this fall to capitalize on the expected success of Guardians of the Galaxy Vol. 2. Wired reports the rig is an adjustable plastic helmet designed to fit an adult's head; it also lights up and makes sound effects (pick-up lines for alien women likely sold separately).

Early buzz indicates it's a fairly average set of headphones tucked into the helmet, so if you're an audiophile, these are not the cans you're looking for. But if you've always wanted to be Star-Lord and have easy access to your iTunes library, this should do the trick.

If the helmet looks as good as advertised (see the mock-up below), the $100 price tag isn't half bad. A decent cosplay helmet would cost a bit under that, and this at least comes with headphones built in and some whiz-bang features.

Put simply: Shut up and take our money.
