The folks at Marvel have proven to be pretty savvy when it comes to marketing tie-ins, but making an official Quicksilver shoe? That’s freaking brilliant.

With Avengers: Age of Ultron set to open May 1, Marvel has teamed up with Adidas for an official line of Avengers-inspired footwear. One of the lead designs? A gray and green sneaker inspired by Marvel speedster Quicksilver (Aaron Taylor-Johnson). The character will, of course, make his debut in Age of Ultron. A bit obvious, sure, but still smart.

The company is planning to release a whole line of kicks marketed at children and adults, and c’mon, who wouldn’t want to rock a pair of Quicksilver Prime Boost shoes at the next 5K? Though the adult shoes are a bit more understated, the kid versions are quite obviously inspired by Captain America, Iron Man and the Hulk (poor Black Widow still can’t get no love).

As for the science behind the shoes, Adidas claims they’ll feature fancy shoe tech that provides higher energy return and cushioning, while also being lightweight. Hey, if these shoes are supposed to represent Tony Stark, they better have a bit of cutting-edge tech under the hood (or tongue, whatever).
