Matt Murdock is missing — but will be returning later this year. Do we know when? No. but we do know that the third season of Marvel's Daredevil is set to air before 2019.
We know this for two reasons. One: Netflix chief content officer Ted Sarandos said as much. And two: Marvel just released an eight-second teaser via social media plugging the show.
During Netflix’s quarterly earnings call, Sarandos told investors that the streaming giant has “got new seasons coming up the second half of this year of" several series, including “Iron Fist [and] Daredevil.”
Plus, Marvel just tweeted this cryptic teaser:
Granted, beyond the "Missing" poster with blind attorney Murdock’s face, the eight-second teaser provides us with no information — no clips from the upcoming season, no release date. And all it says beneath the teaser is: "? @Daredevil."
But when combined with Sarandos’ promise, it’s safe to say we won’t have to be waiting much longer for Daredevil to be making Hell’s Kitchen safe again for its residents. (Although, seriously, show’s creators; you do know that Hell’s Kitchen is a neighborhood in Manhattan and not its own separate city, right?)
Until then, the second season of Marvel's Iron Fist hits Netflix Sept. 7. So it stands to reason we could see Daredevil return as early as October or November.
