Some of Marvel’s most ambitious stuff isn’t just happening on the big screen. The studio has been testing out the multiverse over on Disney XD with its Ultimate Spider-Man series, and a few fan favorites are set to co-headline the network’s next flagship Spidey series.

Some fresh promo art from Spider-Man has been discovered, showing both Spider-Gwen and Miles Morales getting top-tier billing alongside the regular ol’ Peter Parker version of Spider-Man. Scheduled to tie into the launch of Spider-Man: Homecoming on the big screen, the new Spider-Man series looks to simplify the animated universe with a relaunch focused on the classic Spidey in high school stories.

But that doesn’t mean he won’t have friends, so both Miles and Spider-Gwen will apparently be showing up. Both characters played roles in Ultimate Spider-Man, and much of that show focused on the multiverse concept (since both Miles and Gwen come from different realities). So, even with plans to simplify the world with Spider-Man, we’ll apparently still be seeing a multiverse. Which is awesome, because both Miles and Gwen are awesome. Oh, Venom is also there. Which isn't much of a shock. No word on which version we'll see.

The new series will be led by story editor Kevin Shinick (Robot Chicken) and supervising director Philip Pignotti (Avengers Assemble).

Are you glad to hear these two will be sticking around the small screen?
