After getting just a taste of the nostalgic magic that Disney's Mary Poppins Returns is conjuring up with its first trailer, the studio has released a new clip highlighting some bubbly undersea fun to which the world’s most eccentric nanny will treat her wards.
Emily Blunt’s redo of the classic character takes the new kids under her wing and under the bathtub water to a land of dolphins and pirate treasure, showing off some of the hypercolor visuals hearkening back to the Technicolor brightness of the original.

As the Banks children seek help from a crazy cast of co-stars including Lin-Manuel Miranda and Meryl Streep (not to mention Dick Van Dyke, Ben Whishaw, Emily Mortimer, Julie Walters, Angela Lansbury, and Colin Firth), director Rob Marshall brings the magic and song of the original to them.
Blunt’s bathtime song is complemented by ignoring safety and embracing the impossible. That’s why children take flight, canes can wink, and simple childhood activities become adventures. It looks like it’ll be capturing much of the same imaginative quality of the original — even helped by some returning penguins.
Mary Poppins will drop back into theaters on Dec. 19.
