Want to know just how seriously Marvel is taking its slightly tweaked, cinematic universe? Look no further than this geek-tastic new infographic, which tracks things all the way back to when Odin left the Tesseract on Earth.

With the culmination of nearly a half dozen Marvel flicks coming together with The Avengers, it's interesting to look back and see how the timeline has been leading to this. Plus, for any Marvel newbies, it's a great refresher to see how the wider universe plays into the big picture.

The coolest bit? Instead of B.C. and A.D., we have B.I.M. and A.I.M., slicing eras to "Before Tony Star Declares 'I Am Iron Man,'" and "After Tony Stark Declares 'I Am Iron Man.'" Awesome.

Check out the full graphic, via the Art of The Avengers book, with notes from the Iron Man films, Captain America, The Incredible Hulk and Thor.
