On this day in Science Fiction history, the world gave us Robert Pattinson. Born in 1986, today is his 31st birthday, and though vampires sparkle and never age ... sigh … we don't have it in us to carry through on the Twilight joke, so happy birthday, Edward. Or Jaden. Whatever his name is.

More importantly, today also happens to be Leprechaun Day. And thus, let's talk about some of our favorites. First, and obviously: Lucky, who was constantly chased by children and bears throughout the '80s.

The Leprechaun from Leprechaun. Plus … Jennifer Aniston!

The leprechaun from Darby O'Gill and the Little People.

And finally, and maybe most importantly, Uncle O'Grimacey. Yes, Grimace's Uncle. If you've never gone down the Wikipedia page with information about most of Grimace's family, you absolutely must.

Tomorrow: Molly Weasley, Martha Kent and Sarah Connor!
