May 15 in sci-fi history: Let's hear it for David Krumholtz

Today in sci-fi history, we celebrate the birth of David Krumholtz, born on this day in 1978. Krumholtz has played elves (The Santa Clause, Santa Clause 2), he's played a fair amount of nerds (10 Things I Hate About You), and you guys, he was MR. UNIVERSE in Serenity.

But let's be honest, David Krumholtz is a science fiction hero mostly because of Joel Glicker in Addams Family Values. Wednesday Addams' first love, Joel was the first person to really understand who she was. There is no greater comedic performance by a child actor besides, frankly, Christina Ricci and Jimmy Workman.

Happy birthday, sir. We at Syfy Wire salute you.
