Big Hero 6 is one of the oddest Marvel projects on Disney’s release slate (which is saying a lot, Guardians of the Galaxy), and now we finally have the first trailer. Want to see?

The first teaser trailer for the film, which is actually being handled by Walt Disney Studios Animation but is based on a Marvel comic, definitely plays up the kid-friendly vibe while reminding us that these are the folks who made Wreck-It Ralph and Frozen. There’s actually no mention at all of Marvel, which is a bit of a surprise.

As for the footage? It gives a nice setup for the film and its tone, zeroing in on engineering whiz Hiro as he tries to outfit his robot Baymax with a tough suit of armor. Baymax is adorable, and it doesn’t go as planned. Also, love the soccer ball bit.

Check out the teaser below and let us know what you think:

The film itself will find Hiro and Baymax creating their own team of motley superheroes, out to defend their home of San Fransokyo when some calamity befalls the city. Here’s hoping they get the kinks worked out of the armor by then.

Big Hero 6 is slate to open in November 2014.
