We’re 10 days away from the highly anticipated premiere of Spike TV’s adaptation of Stephen King’s The Mist; and to whet our appetite for showrunner Christian Torpe’s new series, the network has released two new featurettes.
The first video introduces us to the hero of the story, former journalist and current children’s book author Kevin Copeland, played by Morgan Spector (Boardwalk Empire, Person of Interest), while the second featurette provides a bit of a meet-and-greet with the rest of the cast of characters who will populate the small town of Bridgeville, Maine (Stephen King's locale of choice).
Based on King's horror novella published back in 1980, The Mist is a 10-episode series that also stars Darren Pettie, Frances Conroy, Gus Birney, Danica Curcic, Dan Butler, Isiah Whitlock Jr., Okezie Morro and former Vikings alum Alyssa Sutherland. The show will premiere on June 22 at 10 p.m. on Spike.
Spike’s The Mist centers around a small town family that is torn apart by a brutal crime. As they deal with the fallout, an eerie mist rolls in, suddenly cutting them off from the rest of the world and, in some cases, each other. Family, friends, and adversaries become strange bedfellows, battling the mysterious mist and its threats, fighting to maintain morality and sanity as the rules of society break down.
