The second season of Revolution is coming together quickly, and now we know of at least one new character we’ll be meeting when the hit NBC series returns.
The lovely actress above and to the right, Jessica Collins (Rubicon, The Nine), has signed on to play Cynthia in year two. The character is described as a a love interest who is “a beautiful young woman of deep faith. Her winning humor and blazing intelligence capture the heart of one of the show’s leading characters.”
The detail that’s missing? Who, exactly, she’ll be a love interest for. She could fall just about anywhere on the spectrum — young enough to come between Charlie and Jason, and mature enough to fit into a Miles or Monroe arc.
Not much is known about season two, though the season-one finale blew the mythology wide open and could set up an insanely great run. The addition of Collins is a good move, as she was one of the best things about AMC’s criminally underrated Rubicon, and she also had a great turn in Zero Dark Thirty.
If anything, this should keep up cautiously optimistic that the semi-reboot that began halfway through season one could turn out to be a really good thing. Fingers crossed.
What do you think of Collins’ casting? Will she be a good fit for the world of Revolution?
