We heard throughout 2018 about Rooster Teeth's new original series gen:LOCK, an anime style adventure about a team of pilots using a new technology to battle back against a devastating, world-threatening force. Now, after peeking at clips and teasers, the show's official trailer is finally here.
The show is set five decades into the future, and begins when "an oppressive authoritarian force threatens to conquer the world." To battle back against this force, a new form of "weaponized neuroscience" that allows pilots to connect with mecha has been developed. Called gen:LOCK, this program will bring together a team who will have to fight as a unit to save the world.
The series features an all-star voice cast led by Michael B. Jordan, Dakota Fanning, Maisie Williams, and David Tennant, and the dialogue we've seen in clips has been enough to get us excited. Now, we get a much bigger peek at the mech-fueled action the series has in store. Check it out.
After months of anticipation, gen:LOCK will finally land January 26, with the first two episodes premiering on Rooster Teeth. Will you be watching?
