HBO’s live action adaptation of Ray Bradbury’s classic novel Fahrenheit 451 is finally starting to take shape, and the first pic from the film is definitely hot. Sorry, couldn’t resist.

The first pic from the film project shows star Michael B. Jordan wielding a flamethrower, probably taking out a pile of books stacked out of frame, if we're guessing. We get a look at Jordan’s costume and the steampunk-y technology style of the weapon. This alternate reality also looks to feature a good bit of leather, which Jordan is certainly capable of rocking.

Here’s the official synopsis for the film:

Based on Ray Bradbury’s classic dystopian novel which depicts a future where media is an opiate, history is outlawed and “firemen” burn books, FAHRENHEIT 451 follows Montag, a young fireman who forsakes his world, battles his mentor Beatty and struggles to regain his humanity. Michael B. Jordan, Michael Shannon, Laura Harrier, Sophia Boutella and Lilly Singh star. The film is directed by Ramin Bahrani, who also serves as executive producer with Sarah Green, Michael B. Jordan, Alan Gasmer and Peter Jaysen; David Coatsworth produces. Ramin Bahrani and Amir Naderi are co-writers.

The project is currently filming, and no release date has been announced.
