The last time we saw
The Master Missy on Doctor Who was in the opening two-parter of Season 9. While we knew Michelle Gomez would be returning for Season 10, a new video completely confirms the highly anticipated return of the Doctor's arch-frenemy to the series.
Released by the BBC, the video shows Missy making the official announcement herself by having her paint the Doctor's (Peter Capaldi) TARDIS.
"Well, they've got me back again. I'm hard at it. Popping on the base coat. It's a lovely color of blue here I've got. It's the kind of blue you'd find on a T and ends on an ardis. Hard at it." Ha!
Not only will Missy make her triumphant return in the upcoming season but Steven Moffat's final year as Doctor Who showrunner (Chris Chibnall will be taking over for Season 11) will also introduce Pearl Mackie as the Doctor's new companion (Bill) and see the return of Matt Lucas as Nardole.
And if that wasn't exciting enough, the show's new season will also bring back classic Who villains the Ice Warriors ... although it'll also mark Peter Capaldi's last hurrah as the Doctor. Okay, so, this is like the ultimate good news, bad news scenario.
Are you looking forward to Missy's return on Doctor Who? The series is slated for an April premiere on the BBC and BBC America.
