It’s hard to believe, but Hellboy has been kicking around the comic sphere for 21 years — and we couldn’t think of a better way to honor the occasion than this.

To help mark the 21st anniversary of the debut for Mike Mignola’s now-iconic antihero, Dark Horse Comics has teamed up with Oregon-based microbrewery Rogue Ales to create a Hellboy-branded beer. That’s right: Hellboy has his very own microbrew, dedicated to the fine folks at the B.P.R.D. Of course.

Dubbed “The Right Hand of Doom,” the limited-edition red ale will be available Feb. 20 at the Things From Another World comic shop in Portland. It’ll also be available for purchase nationwide online at the brewery’s official website, where it would make a perfect complement to digging back into the decades-old Hellboy archive for some nostalgia.

Here’s what Mignola had to say about the beer deal, via Entertainment Weekly:

“When Dark Horse Comics published the first Hellboy story 21 years ago, I never imagine there’d be a Hellboy beer. But I really can’t imagine a better time for Rogue to introduce the Right Hand of Doom beer. If Hellboy was real I guess he’d finally be able to buy me a beer.”

Check out the beer label below, which features some special art created by Mignola. Now we just need to track a six-pack of this stuff down. You know, for posterity. And reasons.
