Today, actor Verne Troyer passed away at the age of 49, and there was no deficit of emotional outpouring from his friends and colleagues in the entertainment industry. Most famous for his role as Mini-Me in the Austin Powers franchise, Troyer was also an alum of Harry Potter, Sabrina the Teenage Witch, Men in BlackFear and Loathing in Las Vegas, and How the Grinch Stole Christmas.

"Verne was the consummate professional and a beacon of positivity for those of us who had the honor of working with him. It is a sad day, but I hope he is in a better place. He will be greatly missed," Myers, Troyer's Austin Powers co-star, said in an official statement to The Hollywood Reporter.

"Verne was an amazing guy, a joyful collaborator, and a true master of comedic acting, a director's dream," added Powers trilogy director Jay Roach. "We found ourselves cutting to his silent performances constantly to levitate the scenes. An excellent dancer too! He elevated the character that Mike Myers and Michael McCullers wrote and helped turned Mini-Me into an unforgettable, iconic character, known and referenced around the world. I feel lucky I got to know him and work with him. So sad for him and his family, but also celebrating the joy Verne brought us all."

Troyer touched so many lives with his enthusiasm and all-around good nature that it's no wonder so many celebrities posted about the impact he made on them mere hours (if that) after the news of his death surfaced online. From Guns N' Roses' Slash to actress Marlee Matlin, here is a collection of social media reactions from the actor's many associates in Hollywood and the general world of entertainment.
