We're still a couple of weeks away from finally seeing Spider-Man: Into the Spider-Verse, but a new clip has just landed to tide us over.
The much-anticipated feature film debut of Miles Morales held its first screening for members of the press Tuesday night, and it's already earning rave reviews for its animation, humor, and storytelling. That means buzz can only grow from here, so Sony Pictures is building on that with some new footage, including this clip released Wednesday morning by Fandango.
In the clip, Peter Parker (Jake Johnson) and Miles Morales (Shameik Moore) are on the run after nabbing what appears to be a CPU from some bad guys. Peter's been Spider-Man in his universe for quite some time, while Miles is still very much a beginner, but the old webslinger is about to teach the young one how to...well, sling webs. According to Peter, it's all about building a good thwip rhythm. The clip is packed with a blend of humor and action, all set against a backdrop of beautiful forest animation. Oh, and stick around until the end to see another Spider from another universe show up.
Spider-Man: Into the Spider-Verse arrives in theaters December 14. Tickets for the film, already being hailed as one of the best superhero movies ever, go on sale today.
