Ask Star Wars fans which ship they’d most like to pilot and odds are good you’ll hear the words “Millennium Falcon,” well, most of the time. The ship is as much a part of the Star Wars saga as any character, and the bridge of the Millennium Falcon is instantly recognizable.
Which is why we're guessing Star Wars fans are likely about to knock over and take pictures with this awesome Millennium Falcon cardboard standup promoting Solo: A Star Wars Story.
The standup includes the cockpit of the Falcon along with Han Solo (Alden Ehrenreich), Chewie (Joonas Suotamo), and Lando (Donald Glover) on one side, and Tobias Beckett (Woody Harrelson) and Qi’ra (Emilia Clarke) on the other. Han’s stretched out in his pilot’s seat, but the co-pilot seat is just sitting there open and waiting for you to take your place.
Watching the team at Lucasfilm build this is mesmerizing. They left the sound off so there’s no telling how animated folks got trying to figure out where flap A goes into slot B, but it’s still the kind of thing you’re tempted to want to put up in your house whether you have the room or not.
As we've seen in previous images thanks to Ron Howard, the cockpit looks a little different than we’re used to it looking in the original or sequel trilogies. But while we've seen pictures of the Falcon when Lando owned it and even have the whole ship in LEGO form, this may be our best look yet at the cockpit itself before Han made all of his "special modifications."
Solo: A Star Wars Story flies into theaters on May 25.
