Better duck before this Dredd motion poster sentences you to death

If you're one of those lucky ones heading over to San Diego Comic-Con—and are even lucky enough to get a seat for a screening of Pete Travis' upcoming Dredd that'll be shown in 3D—then good on ya! For the rest of us, this new, totally mind-blowing motion poster released by Lionsgate might just be the next best thing!

The über-cool motion poster features a completely badass Karl Urban's (Star Trek, Doom) Judge Dredd sentencing us all to death right before blowing our brains out with his gun.

Very, very cool. And very, very icky (all that brain matter, you know how it is).

Have a look:

Written by Alex Garland, Dredd is a more direct adaptation to the Judge Dredd comics than Sylvester Stallone's dreadful 1995 Judge Dredd film ever was. Instead of campy, we're getting dark and gritty violence, more in line with the comics.

The entire film will be screened next Wednesday during Preview Night at San Diego Comic-Con in the Reading Cinemas Gaslamp.

For the rest of us, judgment will be coming on Sept. 21, 2012. Are you ready for some justice? And what do you think of the motion poster?
