G.I.S.H.W.H.E.S. It is a small acronym, which gets a little hard to say, but it stands for something incredibly big. Created by Supernatural’s Misha Collins, the Greatest International Scavenger Hunt the World Has Ever Seen gathers fans together across the world -- and has included William Shatner and other celebs -- and challenges them to do epic things. And it is about to kick off once more.
From making a stormtrooper go to work poolside while you enjoy a cocktail, to giving a puppet show at a children's hospital, to skydiving, the Guinness World Record-breaking hunt can be inspiring, heartwarming, or just plain silly. It also contributes to charity, and encourages global charitable acts. So, really, you're having fun and making the world a little better by eschewing normalcy and setting out on a gishwhes challenge.
I spoke to Collins at San Diego Comic-Con about the hunt, which takes place the first week of August (July 30-Aug. 6, to be precise). Speaking from the G.I.S.H.W.H.E.S. bus, he breaks down the Monday night deadline to sign up. Take a look as his breakdown of the hunt, and why you should sign up before the deadline passes.
