Although she just joined the cast in season two of the ABC show, Agents of S.H.I.E.L.D. star Adrianne Palicki has quickly become a fan favorite.

Palicki's character, Barbara "Bobbi" Morse (aka Mockingbird), will be the focus of the Agents of S.H.I.E.L.D. spinoff series that was recently revealed to be in development, along with Nick Blood as Morse's ex-husband, sharpshooter Lance Hunter.

The former couple -- who have flirted with getting back together but are currently on (spoiler warning) different sides of an intra-S.H.I.E.L.D. battle -- became popular with viewers early in their tenure on this season of the Marvel series.

The storyline of the new spinoff, which has yet to be titled, will play off the events of the final episodes of the current season of Agents of S.H.I.E.L.D. Neither ABC nor reps for Palicki and Blood would comment on the news, probably since the network has yet to officially greenlight the series, or even a pilot.

If it does become a full-time series, there could be up to four Marvel programs running on ABC next year: Agents of S.H.I.E.L.D. is likely to be renewed for its third season, while Agent Carter could return for a second and screenwriter John Ridley is working on a secret new Marvel series.

Would you like to see Bobbi Morse and Lance Hunter get their own show?
