Sony PlayStation's E3 2017 showcase was an hour of nearly wall-to-wall trailers, and while several got fans going, one stood apart as the biggest surprise of their show. Monster Hunter World made its debut in a gameplay trailer that shows off what this immensely popular franchise the world over can look like when it's in glorious 4K. It's not coming until 2018, but man, does it look spectacular.
In the game, you'll take on massive dinosaur and dragon-esque monsters, carrying around your nearly equally massive sword through gorgeous, lush landscapes, to, you know, hunt. According to reports from E3, the game will feature co-op play worldwide, so Japanese and Western fans can play side-by-side in the game.
This is the first time a Monster Hunter has been natively developed for a PlayStation console since the first game in the series in 2004, which was released on the PlayStation 2. There will likely be more information about Monster Hunter World throughout E3 week, but for now, watching the trailer with all its hi-res textures and jaw-dropping visuals will get you ready to conquer the world.
