Looking for something new to play? Look no further than September's edition of Monthly Must-Plays, our new feature with the hottest picks in the gaming world you should check out over the coming weeks.

September has a wide selection of awesome titles coming down the pipeline. We're ringing in the fall with Marvel's Spider-Man, one of the biggest games to hit store shelves, as well as a few other blockbusters that you absolutely must give a spin.

Marvel's Spider-Man - Spidey Pose

Marvel's Spider-Man

If you've been patiently waiting for another zip through New York with the iconic hero, get ready to grab this PlayStation 4 exclusive on September 7. An all-new storyline finds Spider-Man teaming up with MJ and other important allies to unravel a secret behind a new threat to the city. It's always something, right? Insomniac Games' slick new vision of the web-slinger is going to feature tons of nefarious villains, plenty of buildings to swing by, and even Miles Morales meeting Peter Parker! If you're a Marvel fan, this is going to have to be a day-one purchase for you. Leading the September release schedule, Marvel's Spider-Man is going to change the game for Spidey adventures.

Life is Strange 2 - Sean and Daniel

Life is Strange 2 - Episode One

Forget Max, Chloe, and Rachel Amber. Life is Strange 2 is all about brothers Sean and Daniel Diaz as they set off on a new adventure following a particularly heartbreaking situation. The brothers are trekking to Mexico, and their journey will bring them even closer together as they work through one of the most difficult situations they've ever faced in their lives. The first episode of five is scheduled to hit on September 27, and while there's no prior knowledge of the Life is Strange series required to enjoy this new season, you can and should play the free The Awesome Adventures of Captain Spirit prologue demo to get a feel for what this adventure may offer.

Dragon Quest XI: Echoes of an Elusive Age - Crew

Dragon Quest XI: Echoes of an Elusive Age

Ready for a sprawling, traditional Japanese role-playing game? The latest entry in the long-running Dragon Quest series should certainly scratch that itch nicely. Embark on a journey as the storied hero, the "Luminary," as you work to set things right once more in a magical land. All your favorite RPG trappings are here, like a ton of grinding, turn-based combat, and especially the adorable little Slime enemies that sit and grin at you. It's got over 100 hours of content to keep you engaged, and if you've been following the Dragon Quest series, you'll know exactly why this release is such a big deal.

Shadow of the Tomb Raider - Lara Cautious

Shadow of the Tomb Raider

Join Lara Croft on her final stop on the journey to become the Tomb Raider she was meant to be in Shadow of the Tomb Raider. Taking place two months after Rise of the Tomb Raider, it follows Croft as she works to keep the Mayan apocalypse from raining down on the unsuspecting world. It's coming to PlayStation 4, Xbox One, and PC on September 14. If you've been following the series of Tomb Raider reboots since they began back in 2013, you've got a lot to catch up with, but this particular adventure looks like it could certainly be the series' best so far.

Destiny 2: Forsaken - Guardian Fight

Destiny 2: Forsaken

Destiny 2 has just welcomed its latest DLC expansion pack, Forsaken, on September 4. It invites players to come back to the game for a wealth of new content, including new weapons, more story missions, game mode, and a new raid as well as a ton of other new goodies like Super Abilities, and destinations like The Reef and The Tangled Shore. Is Cayde-6 actually dead for good this time? We'll have to play the game to find out, though our money's on "probably not."
