After the awesome news a couple of weeks back that Blade Runner's Rutger Hauer was joining the cast of True Blood for the upcoming sixth season, HBO has just announced that our favorite faerie telepathic waitress, Sookie Stackhouse (Anna Paquin), will be getting a brand-new hunky love interest next season.
So move over, Bill (Stephen Moyer), Eric (Alexander Skarsgard) and Alcide (Joe Manganiello). Sookie is about to get a brand-new love interest in the form of hunky U.K. actor Rob Kazinsky (Eastenders).
TV Line's Mike Ausiello reports that Kazinsky will play Ben, "a highly charismatic faerie who takes a liking to Sookie (and vice-versa) and helps Sookie and Jason delve deeper into the mystery of their parents' murders."
So we guess that means the faerie sparks will fly between our favorite Bon Temps waitress and Ben's new character.
Kazinsky's biggest U.S. TV credit was on a story arc on Brothers & Sisters, and he had once been cast as Fili on Peter Jackson's The Hobbit but had to bow out due to personal reasons.
Maybe True Blood will be Rob Kazinsky's second chance to make it big in the good ol' U.S.A.? What do you think of this casting news? Does Kazinsky have what it takes to make Sookie's heart beat faster and make her forget both Bill and Eric?
