While the planet mourned the premature death of British actor Alan Rickman last weekend, remembrances of a more personal nature were observed at the Wizarding World of Harry Potter in Universal Studios Orlando, where bereaved Potterheads expressed their grief over the loss of their beloved Severus Snape with a spellbinding array of tributes, eulogies and memorials.  Rickman passed away on Thursday at the age of 69, and outpourings of sorrowful condolences and loving messages have been observed in all arenas of life.

The weekend's events to honor the late Alan Rickman were organized by Diversely Geek, a multifandom group promoting "Positivity, Unity, and Diversity" and encouraged Potter fans around the world to unite and raise their wands in memory of the man who brought Potions Master Severus Snape so vividly to life.

Here's a stirring sample of some of the tributes left behind at the Florida theme park and London's King's Cross Station to remind us of Rickman's legacy of magical work.
