Attack on Titan is a hit manga series and anime in Japan, and now it’s coming to the Nintendo 3DS for you to experience hands-on. The storyline is set in a distant future, when what’s left of humanity is besieged by huge, naked giants (the Titans) who like to snack on humans. Hmm, tasty.

The new game is called Attack on Titan: Humanity in Chains; it is set to be released for the 3DS in Europe and North America in May as a download-only title on the 3DS eShop. Players will take on the role of a member of the elite Scout Regiment. Your job is to help defend the city against those big bad giants smashing through the city walls. Reviews in Japan were apparently positive, so this could be one title fun to play on your Nintendo 3DS. Check out the trailer:

What do you think? Do you want to help save the city against those nasty-looking, flesh-eating, naked giants? In the meantime, you can watch the first two episodes of the Attack on Titan anime for free on the Nintendo eShop until June 30.
