Nebraska entrepreneur legally changes name to Tyrannosaurus Rex

There are good ideas and there are great ideas. And then there's the story of the businessman who stood before a judge and explained why he wanted to change his name to tyrant lizard king.

A York, Neb., resident who spent his previous 23 years as Tyler Gold has decided he wants to be known as Tyrannosaurus Rex Gold, and his request was granted by Judge Alan Gless, who was no doubt swayed by Gold's impassioned plea:

"Because the [T-Rex designation] is cooler. Also, as an entrepreneur, name recognition is important and the new name is more recognizable."

For his sake, let's hope he doesn't get arrested, because adopting a dumbass name and then getting busted always goes over well.

Unless ... this is all an elaborate ploy to endear himself to our eventual superintelligent-dinosaur overlords. In which case, I tip my hat to you, Tyrannosaurus Rex Gold. Way to play the long game.
