Netflix has capitalized on the "Netflix & Chill" meme that has become part of the national lexicon. During October, in honor of Halloween, the streaming giant has been celebrating with "Netflix & Chills," a section that highlights horror movies and TV shows on the service, including new, buzzworthy originals like The Curious Creations of Christine McConnell and The Haunting of Hill House.
As a grand finale to the month of screams, Netflix is releasing a short-film anthology dubbed Don't Watch This. According an official announcement, Netflix "challenged talent and partners to bring us the most unbearable, unwatchable, can’t-possibly-finish short films you’ve ever seen on Netflix."
Watch the newly released, B-movie-influenced trailer now:
Crypt TV presents two shorts: Friendship Bracelet, in which an outcast girl goes to extreme lengths to make the two most popular girls in school befriend her; and Keep Out, in which a pair of friends break into an abandoned house and film the spooky results.
CTRL+ALT+DEL comes from the executive producers of the Netflix series Haunted. In the film, a hacker is lured into a virtual-reality game on the dark web — with harrowing results. Netflix itself brings Incommodum, a body-horror short that it promises is "not for the squeamish." And finally, the producers behind Queer Eye present Antoni Psycho; in it, Antoni Porowski from Queer Eye is showing off his morning rituals when "hints of a darker side emerge."
