Netflix has unveiled a new teaser trailer for the upcoming series Dark. Prepare for some Stranger Things vibes mixed in with a hefty dose of Twin Peaks.

Created by Baran bo Odar and Jantje Friese (who won a couple of awards for their 2014 film Who Am I), Dark is a supernatural drama series that is the streaming giant’s first full German venture; aka it was created, produced, and filmed in Germany and stars Louis Hofmann, Oliver Masucci, Jördis Triebel, Maja Schöne, Sebastian Rudolph, and Anatole Taubman (Captain America: The First Avenger).

The 10-episode series is set in a small German town where two children have vanished. Dark will boast a supernatural element in that the kids’ disappearance will tie back to something that happened in 1986 and 1953. The official logline for the teaser reads: “The disappearance of two kids in the German small-town of Winden opens abysses that turn the concept of time on its head. The question is not who has kidnapped the children ... but when.” Intriguing, don’t you think?

Having premiered at the 2017 Toronto International Film Festival, Dark will arrive on Netflix on Dec. 1. Check out the teaser trailer, and let us know what you think:
