Coming off the acclaim of Snowpiercer, director Bong Joon-ho has assembled an excellent cast for his latest project. Here's our first look at the mysterious Okja.

The film stars Tilda Swinton, Jake Gyllenhaal, Lily Collins and teenage actress Ahn Seo-hyun. The plot is teased as the story of the relationship between man and animal, though we do know it will dabble in genetic engineering of some sort. Swinton looks to be playing a scientist, and we get a peek at her character here. Seo-hyun is also seen traveling through the woods (or an environment as such) to visit an elephant-like creature. We don't see Gyllenhaal’s character in the footage, though he seems to be something akin to a carnival barker, maybe? (We really don’t know.)

More than anything, this first footage looks to set a tone for what Joon-ho wants to do with Okja, and it certainly succeeds at that. Snowpiercer was one of the most gorgeously composed films of the past few years, and Okja certainly seems to live up to the reputation, too.

Okja will drop on Netflix in June. A limited theatrical run is also planned.
