Netflix will debut a new supernatural/time-bending drama series titled Dark in December, and it's unveiled a chilling new trailer as well as a poster.
The 10-episode drama series is Netflix’s first full German venture for the streaming giant. The story takes place in a small German town where the disappearance of two children evokes similar events that took place in 1953 and 1986 in the same town.
The series was created and produced in Germany and is the brainchild of Baran bo Odar and Jantje Friese (Who Am I) and stars
the Stranger Things cast Louis Hofmann, Oliver Masucci, Jördis Triebel, Maja Schöne, Sebastian Rudolph, and Captain America: The First Avenger’s Anatole Taubman. Have a look at the trailer:
Looks pretty good, don't you think? The official synopsis reads: “The disappearance of two kids in the German small town of Winden opens abysses that turn the concept of time on its head. The question is not who has kidnapped the children... but when.”
Could that weird chair contraption and that mechanized-old-timey-music-box-looking-thingy we see in the trailer have anything to do with this? We're talking about this:
Dark will premiere on Netflix on Dec. 1. Will you be watching?
