New set photos from Zack Snyder’s Batman v Superman: Dawn of Justice have appeared online, revealing that the superhero flick will also take place outside of Metropolis and Gotham City.

In fact, some of the action will take place in Washington D.C. But why? What can be bringing the Man of Steel to the nation’s capital?

Batman-News have gotten their hands on some pics that reveal part of Dawn of Justice will take place in Washington. Putting the pics into context, they've also added some plot details about what they describe as a “major action scene” that was shot in a studio in Detroit last month.

Apparently the movie will see Superman visiting the United States Capitol building in Washington D.C. so that he can answer (finally!) for the devastating events and widespread destruction of Metropolis in 2013’s Man of Steel

The public blame Supes for all the death and destruction that took place, and they believe that General Zod would never have invaded Earth if it weren't for the son of Jor-El being there in the first place.

Still, we gotta wonder how it'll all turn into a “major action scene.” Will a supervillain show up to wreak havoc on the Capitol while the Son of Krypton is there? Would make perfect sense. What do you guys think?

Batman v Superman: Dawn of Justice will hit theaters on March 25, 2016.
