Following yesterday’s debut of two character posters ahead of a brand-new trailer set to hit this coming Monday, Warner Bros. has unveiled some tantalizing new footage from Blade Runner 2049.

Directed by Denis Villeneuve (Arrival), the movie is set 30 years after the events of Ridley Scott’s iconic sci-fi movie Blade Runner and sees Harrison Ford reprising the role of everyone's favorite badass Replicant hunter, Rick Deckard. Ford is joined by Ryan Gosling, who plays a new blade runner named K. Here's the official synopsis:

Thirty years after the events of the first film, a new blade runner, LAPD Officer K, unearths a long-buried secret that has the potential to plunge what’s left of society into chaos. K’s discovery leads him on a quest to find Rick Deckard, a former LAPD blade runner who has been missing for 30 years.

Blade Runner 2049 was penned by Hampton Fancher (Blade Runner) and Michael Green (Green Lantern), based on a story by Ridley Scott and Fancher. Alongside Ford and Gosling, the movie also stars Ana de Armas, Robin Wright, Jared Leto, Barkhad Abdi, Lennie James, Mackenzie Davis, Sylvia Hoeks, Dave Bautista and Edward James Olmos, who will be reprising his Blade Runner role of Gaff.

From what can be gleaned in the (short) pair of videos below, it looks like the sequel will definitely look as visually stunning as the original film. I can’t wait to see the full trailer on Monday! How about you? Blade Runner 2049 will open in theaters on October 6.
