How did Ronald D. Moore, executive producer of Battlestar Galactica, approach rebooting a sci-fi classic? Since the miniseries premiered just a little over 10 years ago, we thought this would be the perfect time to find out.
So for Blastr's latest interview in our ongoing series of sci-fi origin stories, we talked with Moore to learn why he was unsure of tackling the project at first, how re-watching the original pilot changed his mind, and what the initial test audiences thought of the miniseries. (Hint: They hated it!)
After you've watched the video below, check out the first four installments in our ongoing origins series as Robert Kirkman shares what it was like when Walking Dead was born, Neil Gaiman explains the inspiration for Sandman, Samuel L. Jackson tells us how he discovered he was going to be Nick Fury, and Katee Sackhoff describes what it was like being Starbuck.
This will be our final origins story of 2013, but remember to check back next year for more!
