Marvel Entertainment has released a glorious new Doctor Strange IMAX trailer featuring plenty of new footage, as well as a new mind-bending IMAX poster.

As I said, the one-minute trailer is chock-full of new footage and features a very cool Avengers name drop when Wong (Benedict Wong) explains to our good doctor, Stephen Strange (Benedict Cumberbatch), the difference between Earth’s Mightiest Heroes and the Sorcerers of Kamar-Taj: “The Avengers protect the world from physical dangers, we safeguard it from more mystical threats.”

Directed by Sinister helmer Scott Derrickson, the comic book movie also stars Chiwetel Ejiofor as Baron Mordo, Tilda Swinton as the Ancient One, Rachel McAdams as Christine Palmer and Mads Mikkelsen as Kaecilius. Talking about Mikkelsen’s character, the new trailer features a first meeting between him and Strange, and it's actually pretty funny.

From Marvel comes DOCTOR STRANGE, the story of world-famous neurosurgeon Dr. Stephen Strange whose life changes forever after a horrific car accident robs him of the use of his hands. When traditional medicine fails him, he is forced to look for healing, and hope, in an unlikely place – a mysterious enclave known as Kamar-Taj. He quickly learns that this is not just a center for healing but also the front line of a battle against unseen dark forces bent on destroying our reality. Before long Strange – armed with newly acquired magical powers – is forced to choose whether to return to his life of fortune and status or leave it all behind to defend the world as the most powerful sorcerer in existence. Join Strange on his dangerous, mystifying, and totally mind-bending journey.

Doctor Strange will open in theaters and on IMAX 3D on Nov. 4. Marvel Studios has also announced fans will be able to catch an early 15-minute preview of the movie in IMAX 3D theaters on Oct. 10, and you can sign up for your tickets here.
